What We Collect- Personal data & automatic data
- ›Account: name, email address
- ›Member profiles: name, gender, date of birth, birth time, birth place, coordinates
- ›IP address — to detect your approximate city & timezone for the default chart location
- ›Browser, device type & OS — stored per login session for security purposes
Birth date and birth time are encrypted at rest. Data is never sold or shared with third parties.
How We Use It- Purpose of collection
- ›Generate and display Vedic astrology charts, dashas, and panchang
- ›Send password reset and account verification emails
- ›Track active sessions - for you to view and revoke logins from your account settings
- ›Anonymised usage analytics via Google Analytics
Third-Party Services- External providers
- ›Google — sign-in, place search, and anonymised usage analytics
- ›Razorpay — subscription payments (we do not store card details)
- ›Google / Facebook — only if you choose social login
Each provider has their own privacy policy.
How We Protect It- Security measures
- ›Passwords are hashed before storage — cannot be reversed or recovered
- ›Birth date and birth time are encrypted before being stored
- ›All connections use HTTPS — data is encrypted in transit
- ›Login sessions are cleared immediately on logout
- ›Social login: your password stays with the provider (Google/Facebook), we never receive it

To access, correct, or delete your data, or for any privacy questions, email contact@shatatara.com. You can also delete your account and all associated profiles directly from Settings.
